If you come from a Sicilian family, odds are you’re familiar with the tradition of the St. Joseph’s Day feast.
This weekend, Italian-Americans across the country will sit down to a full spread of pastas, various fish dishes and desserts, all in abundance. One such dinner took place Saturday at the North Tonawanda home of Frank Panzarella and Denise Internicola Aljoe, where at least 70 people filled in around many tables to enjoy. “It’s a time of year to celebrate and be thankful for everything that we have,” Panzarella said of the tradition. “I keep it going because I’m still alive.
